7 Wonderful RV Parks around Las Vegas and Why We Recommend Them
7 Wonderful RV Parks around Las Vegas and Why
Las Vegas is one of the most heavily visited tourist destinations in the world. It isn’t just the casinos. It is the live shows that run year-round and recreations of famous attractions.
This is why you may want to drive to Las Vegas in an RV instead of flying in and staying at a particular hotel. Here are the top 7 RV parks around Las Vegas and why we recommend them.
1. Las Vegas Motorcoach Resort
This is one of the premier RV parks around Las Vegas. It has more than four hundred fully-outfitted RV parking spots. They don’t’ just have water, electricity, and sewer but wi-fi, cable TV and, in some cases, landlines.
They offer amenities you’d only find in a hotel elsewhere like concierge service and a spa and fitness center.
They also have a bathhouse and entertainment facility. It has a restaurant on-site. That’s why they were rated a 10 by Trailer Life. This motorcoach “resort” is located at 8175 Arville Street in Las Vegas, Nevada.
And it is often ranked among the five most luxurious RV parks in the country. Know that you will pay more than average for the privilege.
2. The Circus Circus RV Park
Yes, that’s really its name. It is next to the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino. One point in favor of this RV park is that you’re within walking distance of the Las Vegas Strip.
You’re within minutes of the Adventuredome, the largest indoor theme park in the city. You can eat breakfast and then go see the daily circus acts at the hotel.
They offer electric and water hookups. There is a market on the grounds, and you’re within walking distance of many fine restaurants. Pets are allowed.
It’s also one of the few RV parks around las Vegas that has an off-leash dog park. It is cheaper than staying in the hotels and reasonably priced compared to other RV parks.
3. Clark County Shooting Park
This RV park gets points for originality. It is located about twenty minutes north of the Las Vegas Strip. It has a rural feel due to the golf courses and nature parks in the area.
You can go hiking, ATV riding and mountain biking here.
However, its main attraction is the shooting range. They have facilities for both archery and guns. It is on the cheap end of the spectrum. It has basic water, electric, and sewer hookups for around sixty RVs.
The downside is the lack of other facilities. You don’t want to rely on the shooting range bathroom since it is only open during office hours. You can’t pitch a tent, and you can only stay for up to two weeks.
At least they have a restaurant/grill on the premises. And it is the best RV park in Las Vegas if you’re here for the shooting sports.
4. The Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort
This is another upscale RV resort; the Oasis Las Vegas is located off Windmill Lane right off Highway 15. Good Sam listed them a top snowbird destination two years in a row. The RV park was a Reader’s Choice award winner in 2019.
They offer full hookups, swimming pools, and a golf course. Their staff can help you book tours or buy tickets to shows. There is a convenience store, restaurants, and fitness center.
Showers are free. Laundry is cheap. They have 24-hour security.
Prices vary depending on location and amenities. You pay more for pull-through sites, picnic tables, desert landscaping, and spots big enough for a big rig.
5. Arizona Charlie’s Casino East RV Park
While the name says Arizona, it is actually located in Las Vegas. It has roughly 200 parking spaces and it can accommodate standard and big rig RVs. It has a private clubhouse.
More importantly, it is next to Arizona Charlie’s Casino. You’re not going to play in a massive indoor theme park or see the circus.
However, you can walk out of the RV and straight up to slots and poker. Furthermore, the casino is on the local bus route, so you can take the bus anywhere else in town you’d like to go.
6. Hitchin’ Post RV Park & Motel
This RV park is next to the Hitchin’ Post hotel. This gives you access to their swimming pool and restaurant. It is unusual for the amenities it offers.
For example, it has in-park propane gas delivery once a week. It has phone hookups so you can use a landline phone or internet connection in addition to wifi. It offers 30 and 50 amp electricity connections.
Practice golf if you don’t want to hit the fitness center. You can bring your pets and let them enjoy the dog run. The saloon is open 24 hours and includes gaming.
Or just have a steak dinner. It has an average price tag. The only major issues are limits on how many people are staying in the RV and how long you can stay.
7. Las Vegas KOA at Sam’s Town
KOA is well-known for its RV parks. There are actually several in the Las Vegas area, but we recommend the one at Sam’s Town. It is within walking distance of some of the largest casinos in the city.
You are also within walking distance to a massive movieplex and bowling alleys. You can take a free shuttle ride to other parts of Las Vegas. You have to pay for propane and wi-fi.
They have several dogs runs. It is unusual for hosting a lot of long-term residents. Noise is an issue, but that’s the price you pay for being right off Boulder Highway.
Know that they can’t handle rigs over 70 feet long, and almost all the power pedestals deliver 50 amps max.
Conclusion
These are some of the best RV parks around Las Vegas and any of them will put you in easy reach of what you’d like to experience in Las Vegas. Whether you want to enjoy the outdoors, the shooting range, classic gaming, or modern immersive entertainment is up to you.
